Who makes your products?
All wood products are manufactured by us. Items such as lighting and metal brackets are purchased from others.

Our manufacturing facilities are in Phoenix, Arizona USA

Are products in stock and ready to ship?
Products are made to order. We do not stock any items. Production time for standard items is about five working days or less, excluding weekends and holidays.

Will you notify me about my order status?
Yes, you will receive regular email updates and you are always welcome to email us with any questions. Email is preferred over phone calls so that we can document any additional requests or concerns along the way.

Do you accept custom orders?
Yes. FloatingShelves.net is a subsidiary of a large millworks and we can make just about anything you need.

Are your products made from real wood?
All our products are made from real wood. There are different types of "real wood." For example our standard floating shelves are made from laminated MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard). We offer a wide selection of solid wood products, engineered laminates, industrial laminates, and commercial grade finishes.

Is MDF the same as particle board?
MDF is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibers, combining them with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure. It is not particle board.

MDF is extremely strong with a uniform cross section. Tight dimensional tolerances of 1/16 inch or less can be achieved. MDF provides a surface ideal for painting and veneering. It is more stable than natural wood, cuts cleanly, and lacks natural defects. The veneers we apply are durable and attractive. Our shelves will never split or warp.

Do you offer other finishes or colors?
The standard colors are the most popular. Dozens of additional finishes are available as custom options.

Do you offer shelves made from all natural wood?
Yes, we offer a full range of all natural wood shelves.
